As a global leader in advanced materials, Rice University was chosen to partner with the Army Research Lab (ARL) to realize their goals for new materials and network technologies. Rice University partnered with Scientia to renovate an existing lab and office suite to accommodate research for a both the RUNSRA and a Chemistry Research Lab. The facility is intended to be a “showcase” facility to enable research of advanced materials and next-generation wireless networks and RF electronics. The goal of the RUNSRA is to grow ultrapure diamond films and heterostructures of diamond and other materials utilizing ultra pure gases requiring special tool hook up design.
