Cynthia is a highly skilled and experienced architect who specializes in laboratory and health education design. Nationally recognized, she has designed over 2.6 million square feet (SF) of academic and science/research facilities.

Cynthia excels in assessing client needs and developing plans to meet them, whether it’s a small renovation, adaptive reuse of space or a complex research building. Cynthia was elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 2013 in recognition to her advancement of the profession through outstanding practice. A frequent speaker at conferences on the subject of research and clinical laboratory design, Cynthia is published in R&D Magazine, Healthcare Design and Laboratory Design. Prior to establishing her own firm Scientia Architects, Cynthia was a partner of FKP | CannonDesign, leading the Science and Technology practice in Houston.
